If it's a cashier's check, there should not have been anyone's account on the face of the check. Cashier's cheks are certified funds paid for by a bank customer, but the face of the check only displays an internal bank general ledger account that is used solely for issuing cashiers checks. ALL of that bank's cashier's checks have that number on the front regardless of who purchased it, so there should be no impact on an individual customer's account.
